RESA Classes at ABoR, Amy George to Instruct

Austin’s Board of Realtors Adds Home Staging Classes

Real Estate Staging Association Texas President, Amy L. George, to Lead Classes

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 28, 2016 Austin home stager Amy L. George, of Impact Interiors, is one of Austin Board of Realtors (ABoR) newest instructors. George, who is the 2016 Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) Texas State President, brings her home staging expertise and two MCE courses to the Board of Realtors.

ABoR’s adoption of RESA courses lends credibility to staging as a valuable necessary element of real estate sales, and also to RESA as a valuable organization.

“It’s a great honor and privilege to be accepted by the Austin Board of Realtors as an Instructor,” George said. “I’m excited for what the future has in store. Our goal at RESA is to educate the public about the benefits of staging, and to make staging an industry standard. We’re passionate about educating people and Realtors about the necessity of home staging.”

Realtors are required to log CE (education) hours to maintain their licensing. ABoR provides 1,500 hours of CE offerings per year for training, education and professional development. The home staging courses George will provide for ABoR include Principles of Staging™ — a 1-hour MCE course — and Staging to Sell™ — a 3-hour MCE course.

George says RESA headquarters’ goal is for all RESA chapters to have a class in each Board of Realtors around the country. George was required to audition for the role of instructor, a process ABoR does not take lightly. The Board of Realtors requirements for accepted courses include clearly identified objectives and knowledgeable instructors, to name just a few.
